An Abundant Life

A lot of people struggle with this and their thoughts come from a place of lack, scarcity and fear. I know I have been there many times.

It is so easy to remain stuck and focus on what you have. If that is not what you want then that feeling of dread and fear can consume you.

In the Upanishads, from the Hindu scriptures, it is said:

“From abundance he took abundance, and abundance still remains”

How beautiful is that, you can have all you want and still there is enough for everyone else.

There is enough for everyone, there really is, but it is so often forgotten as we get bogged down in what we don’t have and that is what we end up with.

So today, simply accept that you can have what you want, you just have to reach out for it…

 

Your life is so abundant
If you make it so
If you focus on what you want
Instead of what you don’t… no.

Abundance is everywhere
If you dare believe its true
From your happiness and the air you breathe
to the desires you want, yes you!

Take abundance from abundance
And abundance still remains
So you CAN have an abundant happy life
or a life that stays the same

Our Universe consists of all our thoughts
What we say and do
So which abundance to you seek
its really up to you

For I choose an abundance of happiness
What are you thinking of?
For when you choose your thought
Does it really serve?

So when I ask you of abundance
What do you truly see
A life of Joy and happiness
Or one of Misery?

So which abundance do you choose
That thought you have every day
The thought that can create all you want
or take it all away

So which life do you choose to have?
Which steps are you willing you take?
the path to a life of abundance?
Or one full of misery and hate?

Take abundance from abundance
And abundance still remains
I choose a rich, awesome life
not one without a flame

Do You Have too Much Baggage to Succeed?

Have you ever noticed?

It seems as if we spend the first part of our lives collecting things…material possessions, and general baggage to try and make us happy.

we are convinced that buy shiny objects will lead to happiness

but have you ever realised?

That once you buy the thing you cannot live without it almost instantly loses its shine and so you move onto the next shiny object in the hope that it will be the answer to your smiles.

Then we get to a point in life when we realise that all of it is just “stuff”. Which doesn’t actually make much difference on our happiness or well being.

Then we spend the last part of our lives trying to get out from under it all and maybe patch up our damaged health or our poor relationships that we sacrificed in getting all this stuff.

Thing is until we start looking inside ourselves, we will still search everywhere else for the solution or blame everyone or thing why we don’t, even when the answer is right in front of us (or actually inside of us) all along. Sometimes we are just forced to confront them.

Like now.

I have been the same. Working so hard on everyone elses happiness I had been neglecting my own. I just never realised it at the time.

You see I love to help people, it is why I am here on this planet. But there is something I knew I should do first, but neglected to do until I forced myself to…

…to look after myself first.

<<<IMPORTANT FACT RIGHT THERE! >>>

If you know me, you probably know that can be terrible at getting back to you. Sometimes doing everything last minute, its never intentional.

You see I have been telling myself I haven’t got time to deal with all the work I have to do.

But I have called myself out my own B.S. It isn’t a tonne of messages or emails or enquiries I was faced with, it was because I am so unorganised.

Too much in my head, too much “stuff” on my desk to sort out.

This stuff can wear you out. We humans do that a lot to justify our actions. Make excuses as to why was cannot do something, It makes us feel better for the lack of success we’re having.

BUT

It doesn’t serve you AT ALL

Hiding behind the truth, scared in case you get found out. I’m willing to put money on it that you’re doing the same with your body.

Maybe you have sacrificed your body for you career or for raising your family and like me telling my self I am too busy.

You’ve been telling yourself you have no time for exercise,

You have no time to prepare your meals,

But in reality…. you’re spending wasted minutes in the day on Facebook – those minutes add up!

Or suppressing this lack of progress with naughty food, booze, internet, TV..etc

and because you’ve not been taking care of yourself, you’re not as productive at work, so your finances are not reaching their potential. You’re not present at home, so your not being intimate with your partner.

This all stems from not looking after yourself first.

i.e. You happiness, your fitness, your nutrition.

But the truth is too obvious and because it requires a change of routine, it’s easier to suppress the pain your covering up, with more sedation, more food, booze, tv, and internet etc…

So you continue to tell yourself LIES to justify why you cannot change and like me, you probably have had too much baggage in your environment.

So how about this…

Start by having a clear out

Bag up the clothes that you no longer wear,

Clean everything…Maybe you think you are dancing the hoover around like Mrs Doubtfire,

But probably look more like Freddie Mercury in the music video “I want to break free” wink emoticon

Change the bed sheets, open the windows, clear your workspace, get your feng shui on and feel zen like.

More importantly… De-stress and wipe the slate clean

Make the fresh start!

It’s SHOCKING how much environment stress weighs us down.

So just by detoxing your environment, you will feel that weight lift from your shoulders.

It’s an amazing feeling.

Taking the first step is the biggest effort

Once you have done that we can take care of other baggage for you…

like emotional stress

and digestive stress.

exercise stress…

So When will you be ready to deposit some energy into YOURSELF to become a better version of yourself?

How To Appreciate YOUR Life Today

How to Appreciate your life TODAY!
 
Stress is huge in peoples lives, constantly getting caught up in trivial things and making HUGE deals out of them.
 
I know, I have been there myself, many, many times!
 
So I wanted to share something with you today, that will make a massive difference to how you think and feel today…
 
At your earliest opportunity, take yourself off the grid. go for a 45-60 minute walk, somewhere away from roads and the usual hustle and bustle.
 
Find a woodland, go to the beach, some patch of country side, somewhere you can simply switch off.
 
We are creatures of Nature, so reconnect with who you are and where you are from. Listen to the birds, the rustle of the leaves in the trees, the waves crashing onto the sand or the wind.
 
Feel the breeze – How does it feel to you?
 
What can you smell? – what subtle smells are in the air that you recognise?
 
What can you see? – look beyond what you expect to see and look for things hidden in plain sight. What trees do you see?
birds? what detail can you focus on that you just accept day to day?
 
what can you hear? – what are you tuned out of? the every day wonders that you no longer hear?
 
Remove your sight, close your eyes and listen, how much different does it feel using your other senses?
 
Free your Mind From the Rat Race! stop all the stressful thoughts coming in by focusing on the very moment you are in, BE in the moment.
 
So why should do this?
 
Because you are taking YOUR life for granted, it is passing by at an incredible rate and you are simply not living it to its fullest. It is bogged down with the excesses of life that you simply do not need, but are terrified to let go of.
 
Too busy worrying and stressing, getting the kids to school, getting to work, living up to others, pleasing others and constantly worrying about your “what if” future.
 
Your life is in fast forward and you don’t even know it!
 
Don’t dismiss this out of hand.
 
Bringing yourself back into balance, improving your health (Exercise, Nutrition, Mindset) is the most important thing you could ever do.
 
Just as you train physically to look after muscles and joints, just as you eat correctly to nourish your very being, You must also nourish and exercise your mind.
 
Our minds are polluted daily with mindless reality shows, gossip magazines, the misery on the news on tv, papers and radio. Training our minds is vital for our health.
 
Picture a mind garden, you can plant roses (positive thoughts, positive, information) or you can plant weeds (Misery and negative thoughts as mentioned above). Both grow equally.
 
Which do you think is best for you?
 
To have a healthy mind you have to look after it. Remove the A.N.T.S (automatic negative thoughts). Catch them when they go in, be aware of them and refuse them entry. Take the positive situation from everything, see how you can FLIP any situation to your advantage.
 
If you dwell on what you don’t want, you will get more of that. So focus on what you do want, make it your purpose.
 
So start today to reconnect with your inner self, take yourself out of the rat race and simply slow down. Remove the excess that you don’t need and find your essence. Then have the courage to face up to yourself and challenge your very purpose.
 
when was the last time you did? when was the last time you just stopped?
 
When was the last time you appreciated what you have? your health? your family? your loved ones? your friends?
 
How about doing this today and seeing how you feel?

Stay in the Moment

**** Stay in the Present Moment ****

We are the only animals on this planet that think about the future, resulting in stressful behaviour.

why?

Our brains like prediction, they want to know that we are safe. Thinking about the future is uncertain, it causes a lack of prediction so we feel anxiety and worry about events that have not happened other than what we create in our minds. This raises the threat level of our brains.

When our brain perceives threat it shuts down the thinking part of our brains (the Neo Cortex) and our Chimp / reptilian part of the brain kicks in. the part that deals with survival and reaction (fight or flight).

This is when we react by doing what we did last time we feel threatened.

this could be eating junk food, comfort food, wine etc

the key is to align yourself with the present and how you want to feel in the moment, the now.

e.g. Content, happiness, relaxed.

Stop reacting.

Stop thinking about a future you have no way of predicting.

Try it, next time you feel stressed and what to eat/ drink things that do not serve you…

STOP

focus on the moment, practice deep breathing, give yourself a nice hot bath, read, go for a walk, but keep in the moment.

Change your state by creating the thought by Defining what you want, Refining it to strip away anything you did not want it to mean and being aware enough in the situation to Align (or in this case, Realign) yourself to create the feeling you want.

I Have No Time…. Is that True?

The biggest issue people claim to have is time or lack of it.

I do not agree.

Every person in the world has the same amount of time.

Both Successful and unsuccessful.

168 hrs in a week in fact

It is how you use your time that matters most.

But before you say you have no time

Before you say its ok for everyone else

Lets break down a basic week…

 

Tick Tick Tick…

There are 168 hours in one week.

But there are some things we have to factor in, some things we have to do in those 168 hours.

Sleep…. lets say everyone sleeps 8 hours a night (which they don’t, but for ease of explanation) that is 56 hours a week

Work… Now lets think about work, lets say 40 hours. Again this is usually way off the mark, most people are stressed to the eye balls and work more

168-56-40 = 72 hours left

so there is a whole 72 hours left.

Where are your spare 72 hours going?

Now I know there is family life and cooking meals, grooming etc

But you have to take stock and think about the most important person!

 

You Time

Out of the 72 hours you must be able to take a minimum of 20 minutes out of your day for you and only you. to read, relax, go for a walk.

Just Switch off!!

Maybe you can use that time to be grateful for the things or people in your life.

To Meditate.

To focus on the things you do want to happen, the things you can do for you and Not all the things you don’t want.

Ever noticed that your focus a lot of the time is on what you don’t want, what you are sick of and NOT on what you do want?

Change that shit, focus only on what you want in your life.

Then there is the time to look after yourself physically

Finding a minimum of 3 x 45 mins of that week to exercise

Hell, if you really think you have used that whole 72 hours up you can still train hard and do 5 x 10 minute training sessions per week. Thats not even an hour!

What about food prep? 1-2 hours per week to plan and batch cook meals to help you through the week?

That still leaves ample time for your kids, for your significant other or to socialise.

 

Excuses Excuses

If you are still using time as an excuse

then what are you doing with those 72 hours?

seriously, write that shit down, right now. work out where your time goes!

You will be amazed at how much time you waste in a day!

I know EVERYONE experiences this. I know I have. I am getting better at it, but it takes discipline and commitment

Remind yourself to slow down. To reduce stress. To realise you CANNOT do everything and you certainly shouldn’t be trying to prove yourself to anyone else!

I have been there and it doesn’t end well.

So focus on what you really want to do, cut out the mindless TV. Stop sedating yourself and face what is making you unhappy and start enjoying your life.

If you are too busy for “You time” are these other things really so important that you have to make yourself unhappy by doing them as soon as possible?

 

So What Gives?

Here is what I see…

People overburdened with everything they think they should be doing to appease someone else or doing things to avoid, numb or sedate themselves with alcohol, computer games, reality tv, drugs, anything to stop them from thinking about the things they hate doing.

People claim they have no time, then create stories and excuses around why they haven’t got time to do xyz. when in fact they are hiding behind the real reason why they don’t do what they really want to do and don’t want to be true and honest with themselves.

Be honest with your SELF!

People overload and overwhelm themselves resulting in:

more stress,

over eating,

emotional eating

and generally being wired to the moon by restless sleep, lack of sleep and incorrect eating habits.

 

Just Stop!

The key here is to STOP

The answer to stress and overwhelm is not to try and do more

it is to do less

it is to stop and remember who is the most important person in your life

That is YOU by the way!

Take care of you first.

If you are stressed, stop and ask your self why that is.

Ask yourself how you can change it

If you are overwhelmed and doing too much, ask yourself is this benefiting you? or are you trying to appease others before yourSELF?

Can you do less per day, can you expect less of yourself and be kinder to yourself?

More time to for yourSELF would mean less stress and time to rejuvenate, to feel unburdened, to rediscover the REAL you.

Looking after yourself by creating better eating habits resulting in better health, energy and happiness?

So the next time you say you haven’t got time for you. STOP and ask yourself why?

And make sure you grab that YOU time that you really need.
