How to Feel Happy about you

Are you in pain?

Why do you feel unhappy in yourself?

What is causing the pain you feel

…You feel unhappy… why?
…You feel unloved… why?
…You feel that you are not enough… why?
…You feel guilt… why?
…You feel shame… why?

Why, why, WHY!

challenge these painful thoughts.

The way to reduce the pain associated with your experiences is to change the way you see or observe them.

Most of these thoughts come from fear, which will make you feel threatened in your brain.

It is your brain that you have to calm, to reduce stress/threat first before you can change your thought. Because when you are under threat, you cannot think, Biology wins every time, your brain sees danger and wants you to run or fight, to survive, thinking is shut down, reaction is king. reaction to your previous stories and experience of your life.

So walk away, reclaim your calm, breath deep, breath slow.

Then catch these thoughts.

Do they serve you? do they create a life of happiness? do they make you happy?

No? then you have to change the inner experience, change your thoughts.

This is how you master yourself and be in control of you

Pain is a result of wrong thought, it is a error in thinking

Master your thoughts to master yourself to heal your self, to reveal your real truth

Truth will quite literally set you free. remove your shackles, release the fear around the thoughts you are having and change your thoughts

Pain results from a judgement you have made about a thing

Remove the judgement and the pain disappears.

Judgement is based on your previous experiences.

Your idea about your pain, is based on a previous idea and so on, peeling the onion, peeling the layers of the stories you have about why you are hurting until you find the real reason why you are in pain or unhappy.

Peel it back to reveal your truth

… and set it free

Be True (To Yourself)
Be Courageous (To face your pain)
Be Happy (For yourself)

Happiness Hurdles

For many people happiness is about how much money they have to buy the things they want. They think that once they have the car, the house, the body they want that they will be happy.

The thing is happiness isn’t something you need to work at creating by chasing goals and getting ticks in boxes on your ‘to do’ lists.

Happiness is the natural downstream consequence of one thing…

STOPPING doing the things that make you UNhappy.

The most powerful goals you could ever set for yourself are those that would remove you from those things that annoy you, anger you, stress you, threaten you, make you sad or any other emotion that steals your smiles.

So you don’t NEED the watch, car, the house, the vacation or the 6 figure salary to be happy.

Desire them by all means but they are not a requirement. In fact, getting them whilst in the presence of those things that make you unhappy and steal your smiles will rob them of their value anyway.

Instead, focus on removing the sources of your unhappiness and sure enough, happiness will start to show up in your life.

If you MUST have a goal…..

Berry Power Pancakes

If you are struggling to see past cereal and toast in the morning and that thought of eating a cooked meal for breakfast (remember, breakfast literally means you are breaking a fast (not eating) from sleeping) give these a shot.

Packed full of good fats, protein and a whole host of vitamins and minerals, they will give you a great boost for your day

Berry Protein Pancakes…

Ingredients

  • 80g of organic quinoa flakes or gluten free oats
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3 organic free range eggs
  • 1 lvl tsp Cinnamon
  • Berries (Blueberries, raspberries etc)
  • Coconut Oil or Extra virgin olive oil

Directions

1. Break up the bananas and add to a blender.
2. Add the eggs, cinnamon and quinoa/oats to the blender
3. Mix the ingredients together until you get a smooth consistency.
4. Heat a small frying pan with coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil, add the mix to cover the pan.
5. Once mixture has started to firm up, add any berries you want and gently push them into the mixture before turning the pancake over.

Serve on their own or with a dollop of full fat greek yoghurt

Choose to Decide

I have set myself some physical challenges to conquer this year.

Having had a number of injuries over the past few years I haven’t trained as much as I would have liked.

They have taken their toll, not just physically but mentally.

in the good old days I used to just push through and work around them. Ego always nails you 🙂

But it catches up with you, the trick is to train smart, not hard. When you are younger it doesn’t impact you as much, but it will get you in the end unless you change how you work.

Anyway

Lately I have realised that I had lost me.

Half arsed training sessions, using injury as an excuse.

It hasn’t been fun

From being a guy who lived and breathed training, to forcing it and not enjoying it it ain’t great

But heres the thing

It comes down to choice

to choose who you are

to step up and realise that you have been lost

Last week I decided to choose to be me again

No more excuses

No voice in my head dictating the way it was.

I mean where is the fun in that?

 

Choose to Decide

So I chose, I decided to create who I wanted to be

So I set myself some challenges

Physical and mental

Yeah The handstand progression is going great, the ab wheel roll outs, the hanging, the push ups etc.

and these are great endeavours. But I am also working on my internal game, the mental game

the most important game of all

and I am winning

The dialog that comes up every day in my head

the fears that I have placed in there

Yes Placed!

No one else did!

The can be debilitating…. IF YOU CHOOSE TO LET THEM!

I have been there, But I have chosen a different path

One that serves me

One that allows me to lead the life I want

So my question to you is…

What STOPS YOU from fulfilling your true potential

The self talk that talks you out of getting

healthier?

leaner?

Fitter?

Stronger?

More successful?

Happy?

The dialog that paralyses you, the keeps you rooted, that makes you run

but what if you could choose

Every day, choose to live a better way

Choose to become the best version of you

Well you can

No BS

You CAN create yourself

Every day you have the opportunity to STOP.

STOP yourself from believing the stories you have created

check out these stories, every one and ask yourself

“Is that true?”

Remove the judgement stories of good and bad and get back to the simple process of asking “How did this serve me?” and answering it truthfully.

Because the Truth WILL set you free!
